UP NORTH QUILT SHOPS

Posted by pnqs on Friday, July 16th, 2010

Ahhh, family vacation!  We had the good fortune of our whole family being able to go to Grandpa Mike's on Leech Lake, near Walker, MN.  And while we were only there four days, Suzie and I managed to get away for a morning to check out the locals!  What fun for us!  Piecemakers of Hackensack was our first stop.

What a treat it was - another Mom and daughter combo - just like us and they were just so friendly!

And to bring a piece back to all of you we order several of thier patterns for our shops, some are wool applique and a marvelous fall leaf wall hanging.

On to the next, after a stop for groceries in Walker, just across the way is Front Porch Quilts.

Look at her great Minnesota Display.

If you are in the area you will want make sure and visit these two fine shops!

  • I have been to the Piecemakers quilt shop and thought it was a really nice shop for such a small town. They really had alot of material and lots of display quilts. I got there just before they closed, they told me to take my time looking around. I didn't make it to the other shop never got back to Walker in time to get to the shop.
