- I always knew fellow quilters were the kindest folks, always ready to help! Thank you again for your kindness.....Peggy
- I wanted to send a note saying how great your staff at Racine are. Chris is probably one of your biggest assets to your store. She seems to know where everything is and seems to know all the procedures. She always has a few minutes to talk to you to see how things are going. I'm always happy to see her in the store when I stop in. I just had my first Series 8 class today, and Bob is so good explaining everything taking the time to show things that you aren't sure what to do. Teaching a bunch of ladies can't be easy sometimes, but he is a very patient man, and it really shows. I'm very happy with the class and can't wait to have the embroidery class next week. Bonnie is great also, but I haven't had as much contact with her as I have had with Chris. Thanks again for having a great staff. Pat
- Just wanted to tell you that I stopped in Racine (and bought some fabric, of course) on our way back from Rochester last week. This was the first time I was able to check it out. The shop is lovely! I will try to stop there again when I can. My husband is going through chemo at Mayo so sometimes we just have to hurry to get home. Incidentally, I felt better after walking around in the shop!!! It was therapeutic! Lynne
- As always, an excellent newsletter and lots of exciting opportunities coming up. You do a great job of keeping things fresh with new products and ideas that should keep everyone interested. Thanks. Carolyn
- I'm always impressed by all the information in the quarterly newsletter, but I have to tell you that I loved the feature article, Stitchin' with Suzie, six ways to use foot #6. The machines are so complex, and there's so much they can do that it's easy to forget or overlook some of the uses and features. Please keep more of these informational reminders coming. 8) Joan
- I just wanted to say that after Saturday's Embroidery Block of the Month Class, I was so excited to get started on my project! Lucy did a fabulous job of explaining things for our project, and talking to the group about organizing our fabrics before going to the cutting table to have our fabrics cut, so the flow of traffic didn’t overwhelm Sue or anyone else. I loved the way she had things so organized and worked out and the expectation of how to have everything flow before having everyone go look for their fabrics. I saw a lot of people helping each other as well as Lucy offering assistance where needed. (If Lucy was nervous or overwhelmed by the size of the class… she never showed it. She looked as natural and relaxed as always.) Sue did a great job at the cutting table! I was one of the last people to have my fabric cut (from the class that day) and she was still smiling and very pleasant after cutting what must have been miles upon miles of fabric for everyone in class and the other customers that were there! Chris was wonderful as always at the register. Always pleasant and forever helpful (just in case we had forgotten anything). She reminds me of someone who always asks, “would you like fries with your order?” Meaning… she does a wonderful job with sales as well. She was asking people if they had used a certain ruler for quilting, or have you tried…. have you ever used… she plants wonderful “seeds of curiosity” for selling items we may have never thought about. And, I just love the new layout of the store! Each of these three ladies deserves kudos for making our class/shopping experience very pleasant. The flow of the business on Saturday was unbelievable! I never felt rushed, frustrated, or “in anyone’s way”. Thank you to all of you for what you do for all of us “Pine Cones”. We love coming back to you, because you always make things wonderful for us. Donna
- Excellent newsletter! Beautifully done and a great resource. I know I will be rechecking it several times the next three months. I am going to be recruiting friends for the Hotel Winneshiek retreat! Carolyn
- It was very nice meeting you in Racine the other day and to visit your very nice store. You made us feel welcomed and answered many questions for us. We made the 80 mile return trip home safely. Now to do some more sewing! Sincerely, Connie
- Thank you so much for sending the pattern to me for the purse and the extra material. I do not want to bother you with crediting my account for the difference. I had such a fun time doing the ‘shop hop’ and stopping off at your shop. You were both so friendly and helpful and I am working on all my projects that I picked up at each shop I visited. As my cousin always says ‘Minnesota friendly’ I will be back next year to visit you. Thanks again, Becky
- Just to let you know that I thoroughly enjoy the weekly newsletter. Keeps me on top of what is going on and enthused about which activities I may want to partake. In our busy lives, it is difficult to keep track of much more than a week ahead. The weekly reminder helps. Thanks for a great job. Carolyn
- I was just at your store on Saturday with the Bag Ladies Shop Hop bunch from Eau Claire and I want to thank you a gazillion for the great time! Your store was my all-time favorite...and thanks a bunch for the wonderful food and gifts! We're planning (a couple of friends and I) to make another trip to your store before you close....and then to your new store in Decorah! Thanks again for the wonderful hospitality!!! You guys are awesome!!!! Jean
- I want to thank you for the wonderful time I had in your shop on Saturday morning. You have a wide variety selection of fabric and wonderful staff. Thanks so much for the neat daisy bag with all the info. You are a top notch shop. Karalee
- Love the look of the new newsletter. Keep up the great work. Deb
- Very cute email!! Makes me wish I did not have so much fabric at home!! Gail
- I always enjoy your emails. It gets me thinking I need to finish this or that or I’d like to take a class. Work seems to get in my way and I don’t get any farther. I did finally finish my Christmas Presents for 2007 so now I feel I can move on to some other projects. Barb
- This is the first time I have attended your progressive sale. I was most impressed. I was there on Thursday and since things were so well marked, I bought a $6 packet of scraps. I did not realize there was going to be so much material in the zip lock bag. Thanks, that was certainly worth my $6. I came back on Sunday. Once again I was very impressed. With three cutting tables, I did not have to wait in line for long to have material cut. The ladies who were cutting material were very pleasant and yet professional. I must say even your customers were very pleasant. It was certainly a fun experience. Thanks to you and your staff for all the work you put in to have a successful sale. Happy 10th birthday. Nancy
- Thank you so much for the prize I won at your anniversary celebration. I stopped on Saturday morning and chose a bag. What fun!! It had a book on using your sewing machine, one of your cookbooks, and a set of black and white fat quarters. All the gifts will be put to good use! I was looking through the cookbook today, and noticed that the recipes were just a little different from the ones in the cookbooks from the area where I grew up. I thought that it would be fun to try some new things... and then I turned the page and saw the recipe for Grandma's Angel Pie -- the same recipe that MY grandma used to make angel pie!! I remember enjoying it during the holidays in the 1960s!! I know that I'm going to have a great time with this cookbook. I'm so glad that you opened your store in Racine. I was first introduced to Pine Needles in Cresco and Jill when my son went to Luther College from 1997 - 2001. I made the side trip from Decorah to Cresco whenever I could! But, it is nice that you are a little closer, and I appreciate that you are open on Sundays sometimes. Thanks for the prize and congratulations on your anniversary! Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family! Teresa
- I just got home from Eagle Bluff and wanted to THANK YOU for a fabulous weekend!!! What a treat to be away with no TV or phone or making meals... Thank you for all the goodies, you are so generous to your customers and we love you! See you soon in Racine! Take care, Lois
- My husband and shopped at your Racine shop on Sunday. It was such a pleasant experience. He even commented on how nice the ladies were and so helpful. I have been there several times, and everyone is just so nice and helpful. It makes you glad to visit and spend your money. Thank you for the nice ladies at your Racine shop. Shelley
- I was in store for the first time ever, and I have been to Cresco many times in the last 9 years, I am so upset that I have lost 9 years from my life. What a lovely shop! Everything was arranged very beautifully as well as organized so nicely. The sales staff were friendly and helpful and I didn't feel pressured to leave the store when I knew the clock was ticking close to 5:00 pm. I had an absolutely great experience with my mother at Pine Needles! Charlene
- Hey! Just to let you know…nothing sews like a Bernina…EXCEPT…a New Bernina! Thanks for all the great service, discount cards (I have two now) and just being so nice. Sarah
